Photos of me in Paris!

Yep… like I said, who wouldn’t jump at the chance of bring photographed in one of the most poetic, artistic and glamorous cities in the world? While it was hard to lay my camera aside and give up time shooting, what I gained in the end is something very personal to me.

Most of you don’t already know this, but if you’re a past bride of mine chances are I mentioned it in passing…. I have very little in the way of photos of Bryn and I from our wedding day. We were quite young when we got married and had almost nothing for our budget. We wanted so badly to make our little wedding the most if could be, so we spent the lions share on food and wine… leaving nothing really for photography. I should mention that I was not a professional photographer at this point and really had no idea I would turn my passion into a profession later on… it’s kind of ironic now to say the least!

Well, in the end we hired some friends for the cost of film… and while we have some happy shots of the day, we have nothing of the epic emotional portraits I love to capture of my own couples. This is something that has bothered me for years.. we literally had no good photos of the two of us in love as bride and groom!

I’m happy to announce that is no longer a concern of mine… a big part of my volunteer modeling involved posing as a bride and groom for the other attendees. It felt just like a second wedding for us and we couldn’t be happier with all the amazing shots everyone got! Check them out below, along with a few shots from my other modeling efforts during the trip… I hope you don’t get sick of me by the end of it, but I could only whittle it down so much!:

My heart is full of joy and gratitude to everyone who made these shots happen! I had been waiting to get our photo taken for a special milestone like our 10 year anniversary, but I couldn’t have asked for anything more magical and special than having them taken in Paris at one of the most beautiful mansions I’ve ever laid eyes on! Thank you so much everyone…. you’ve made a huge dream of mine an unexpected reality!
