I’d like to preface this post with a note about my New Year’s resolution. I did some thinking, and realized it’s always a struggle to choose the handful of photos I put on my blog… mostly because it’s hard to keep the number small. Then it dawned on me… why am I NOT posting more? Enter my new resolution - to post as many photos as I feel tell the day’s story best without hesitation!
So, here for your enjoyment is quite likely the largest post I’ve ever done!:D

Over the holidays I had the wonderful task of photographing Maria and Gord’s wonderful wedding. Despite epic snow unlike Vancouver has seen in ages and freezing toes for most of the bridal party, these two were so warm and in love you’d think it was a summer’s day.
I started out at Maria’s mother and step father’s house in Coquitlam where the ladies were getting themselves ready.

Details!!![]()

The beautiful flowers and decorations for the reception were all handled by Larissa Meade over at Bridal Beginnings

Getting into the dress always makes it so much more ‘real’. I love the look on Maria’s face in this shot… it says it all about how powerful your wedding day really is.

Meanwhile, at the Coast Plaza Hotel, my second shooter Fran Chelico and the boys were getting ready…
The rings pre-ceremony…

The boys![]()

The man himself!

In the limo on the way to the ceremony…

I always get choked up during ceremonies….

We headed over to the Roundhouse community center afterwards for some shots. A big thank you to the staff there for their hospitality!

Clearly I’m hilarious….![]()

Maria and Gord chose to get married on the 7th anniversary of their first date, when they took a chilly ride on Stanley Park’s annual Christmas Train. This has always meant a lot to them each year, so when it came time to deciding events for their day-of fun, they knew they HAD to ride the train!

We also stopped in with Santa to find out if they’d been naughty or nice. I was told Maria was most definitely in the good books… but Santa seemed a little unsure on Gord’s status.![]()

We then went up to the observation deck at Harbour Center to warm up.

Their first dance… ssssiiiigggghhhh!![]()

I obviously had way too much fun with their rings… lol

Maria and Gord, it was such a pleasure to not only shoot your wedding but get to know you both during the lead up to your big day! All the best to both of you… and a very happy New Year!![]()
