Jenna-Marie – Boudoir

Last week my friend Jenna-Marie came to visit…. and oh, what a time we had! On top of a few other amazing highlights (including sampling our first Japadogs!) we also found time to squeeze in a whole day of boudoir! We spent the afternoon and evening at the Loden Hotel and I’m honestly still exhausted!

Without further ado… here’s my friend Jenna, the secret sex kitten! Prepare yourself… this is going to be one LONG post. But seriously, how could you blame me?:

WOW right? I honestly couldn’t stop shooting… we literally went until I couldn’t hold my camera up anymore!

Speaking of amazing boudoir times (hehe… can you see my segue?) I’d also like to announce that I will be beginning to offer boudoir marathons, starting in May. Dates and location are still being set, so watch my blog for finalized details soon!

Adrian + Dino – Engagement

It was last fall when I met Adrian to go over the details of her wedding and I was immediately charmed by her amazing personality! She always makes me feel like smiling!

Well, as I hadn’t met her fiance Dino yet I could only hope he was someone who deserved such a wonderful woman… and when I met with them last week I was not disappointed! Dino’s every bit as fun loving as Adrian, and what’s more he loves her endlessly… it was written all over his face in every shot. :)

Here’s just a little evidence of how awesome these two are:

Question # 8

Doris Chen asked me: “What are your favorite places to shoot in Vancouver? and What is your favorite season to shoot?”

That’s a really tough question for me quite honestly! I love shooting just about anywhere because it gives me the challenge to come up with the beauty in any given location. If I absolutely had to choose a short list of locations, this would be it:

- Gastown (I’ve shot a number of sessions down there and I still love it!)

- Granville Island (same comment as above!)

- Coal Harbour (some really neat architecture down there!)

- Chinatown (so many colours, so much going on!)

Now, here’s a list of places I’ve ALWAYS wanted to shoot but haven’t as of yet:

- Playland (doesn’t that sound like fun?!)

- Heritage village in Burnaby (they have a carousel!!)

- New West (seriously awesome spots down there)

- Abandoned lot anywhere with a vintage car (seriously dying for some hot rod action!)

- Victoria day trip. I would *love* to have a couple game to go to Victoria with me! Photos the whole day through… on the ferry, all over victoria.. I think it would make for an amazing session.

- Speaking of destinations… I would love to get down to Seattle as well. I was there last year for one day only on our way to Paris, but I LOVED what I saw architecturally!

As if there weren’t enough to choose from in that list… I also have a small list of ’secret’ locations I’m developing. Places most folks wouldn’t think to do a session and I’m dying to try out one of these days. If you’re one of my brides and you think you might be game, ask me what I have in mind! ;)

For time of year, my absolute favorite is Spring followed really closely by Fall, and Summer/Winter as a tie for third. Honestly though, I love all the seasons with a passion and always think to myself as each one comes to pass “Oh! I LOVE *insert season here* so much!! Sighhhh” ;)

Abandoned lots can be surprisingly photogenic!
