I started out the morning with Jane and her girls at Aveda salon in Victoria

We then headed to Jane’s parents house for a little lunch and to get ready for the tea ceremony

Loved Jane’s beautiful Chinese dress and accessories!

Meanwhile, my second shooter Kim Kalyn was with the boys as they got ready at the Empress Hotel

Next we headed off to Hatley Castle for the ceremony

We had a little time after the ceremony to capture some portraits in the gardens…

Gabrielle + Jordan | Engagement

I recently got together with Gabrielle and Jordan for their engagement session down at Jericho Beach Park…
They tried to tell me that they don’t do well in photos but as you can clearly see they were putting me on – as soon as I had my camera they became naturals!

I had SO much fun Gabrielle and Jordan! Can’t wait for your wedding later this month!!

Jessica + Corey | Wedding

I started out the day with Jessica at her brother’s cute character house in Kerrisdale. It was such a cozy spot to get ready in and I loved the feeling of excitement you could feel in everyone as the girls got ready!

Hair and makeup for Jessica and her girls was done by Anita Lee from Hairspray and Lipgloss – I’ve worked with them before and they’re fantastic!

Meanwhile my second photographer, Karen Dyke, was with the boys as they got themselves ready… and had a little breakfast

The ceremony was held at Knox United Church in Kerrisdale – it was so cute inside!

I love the look on Corey’s face as he saw Jessica coming down the aisle…

After the ceremony we headed off for some portraits in Stanley Park and Coal Harbour

Seriously? Isn’t Jessica stunning?

Tea ceremony time!

We found a moment to run out and get a couple more shots before the reception…

The reception was held in the Crystal Pavilion room at the Pan Pacific Hotel

The cake was beautiful… I love flowers as cake decor!

Jessica and Corey had a few performances through the night… it was really lovely to watch their friends celebrate their love through their artforms!

Out of Office

Hi everyone! Just a quick blog post to let you know I’ll be out of the office from August 3rd – 13th.
Bryn and I are getting away for our anniversary… I’m so excited I can hardly stand myself!

I’m unsure how much access we’ll have to the internet, but will try to reply to emails whenever I get the chance! See you when I get back!

Kendra + Jon | Wedding

I started out the day with Kendra at a fabulous character home she rented in Yaletown – it was the perfect setting for the preparations!

Meanwhile my second shooter Masi Bardi was with the boys

The ceremony was at the Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park – I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s a photographer’s dream

Woohoo!

Time for portraits! We hit up a few different locations around Vancouver

Love love love this next photo!!! Kendra + Jon = EPIC LOVE!

The reception was held at the Vancouver Rowing Club – it had such a lovely feel inside and Kendra and Jon’s decor matched it perfectly!

The food was SO GOOD… if you’re considering bbq for your reception dinner, I highly recommend it!

What’s cuter than cupcakes? Cupcakes in every size and colour of course!

As evening fell we just *had* to run outside and grab a few more portraits… how lovely is this light?

Jenna + Brent | Wedding

Jenna and Brent are a couple that always keeps me laughing – their smiles are infectious and the ease and warmth they have for each other is beautiful to be around.
I had a lot of fun on their engagement session last year and their wedding was no different! There were so many moments of laughter and warmth from the beginning of the day to the end – we even had a wedding day surprise that kept us all entertained for hours, but that’s a story for another day.
For now… enjoy the wedding of Jenna and Brent!

Hi everyone! Well, no doubt you’ve noticed my blog hasn’t been updated nearly as often as one might expect – I’ve been a bad bad blogger, but with good reason.
The last two months have been the busiest of my entire career and in between shooting and delivering final images I haven’t found a lot of time left over!

Well, I give you my solemn pledge to turn that around and start the blog machine back up. Cross my heart!
