Cans for Comments 2009

img-3799-1

It’s that time of year again! After an amazing effort last year to bring this dream to light, Cans for Comments is experiencing a huge comeback in it’s second year.

How does it work? Well, for every comment you leave on my blog between now and Dec. 22nd I will donate one can of food to the food bank.

Your kind words translate into food for those in need… it’s that simple! So, have a browse around my blog and leave as many comments as you can!

If you’re feeling extra giving, please check out and comment on the blogs of this year’s other participants as well:

Yes we CAN!

This last friday marked the final day for the ‘cans for comments’ drive, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! My blog brought in exactly 50 comments on the nose, and I’ve seen some bloggers with numbers up to 300! That’s a lot of meals! :D

I want to thank each of you who took the time to comment or blog about this SO much for taking part! Knowing that there will be some full bellies and perhaps just a little bit of comfort during the coldest parts of the year makes me very warm inside. You all rock! :)

Cans for Comments

I love hearing from my clients and blog readers more than you’d ever know. Receiving comments and feedback is always a highlight to my day, no matter how I’m feeling!

So, when I was approached by Miranda of Blue Olive Photography and Lynn of Chris+Lynn to take part in a wonderful project to give back to the community AND get some blog love, I was in!

Here’s the deal…  for every comment I receive on any of my blog posts (past or present) in the next 7 days I will donate a canned good to the local food bank! It’s just that simple.. go ahead, try it out right now! You can comment on this post itself, or you can have a little dig through my archives and comment there. The wonderful thing is you’ll be helping bring food and comfort to those in need with nothing more than a few typed words!

As long as you’re commenting here with me why not check out and comment on the blogs of my fellow awesome photographer friends who are in on this as well! You can check them out here:

Thanks for sharing in our effort to make the holidays just a little bit easier for those in need! As someone who has received food donations as a child, I know how much this can mean to a person… no matter what time of year.
