Jenna and Brent are a couple that always keeps me laughing – their smiles are infectious and the ease and warmth they have for each other is beautiful to be around.
I had a lot of fun on their engagement session last year and their wedding was no different! There were so many moments of laughter and warmth from the beginning of the day to the end – we even had a wedding day surprise that kept us all entertained for hours, but that’s a story for another day.
For now… enjoy the wedding of Jenna and Brent!

I started out the day with Jenna and her bridesmaids at her parents home – loved the looks Jenna gave me as her hair got done!

Hi everyone! Well, no doubt you’ve noticed my blog hasn’t been updated nearly as often as one might expect – I’ve been a bad bad blogger, but with good reason.
The last two months have been the busiest of my entire career and in between shooting and delivering final images I haven’t found a lot of time left over!

Well, I give you my solemn pledge to turn that around and start the blog machine back up. Cross my heart!

Martine + Brett | Harrison Hot Springs Wedding

The day started out at the beautiful White Album Chapel – if you’ve never seen this venue before you definitely have to check it out!

I think you’ll agree – Martine is simply stunning!

There was a little mingle time after the ceremony – Martine and Brett had Dutch peanuts and custom water bottles for their guests. So fun!

The reception was held at the Executive Hotel in Harrison Hot Springs

Each table had to send up a representative to play musical chairs – the better you did the earlier you got to serve yourself dinner at the buffet. Love it!

I recently spent an afternoon with Jessica and Corey exploring Granville Island – about half way through the rain started and we ducked into the market for a few shots. What a lovely afternoon!

Vivian and Doug threw down the guantlet for me with their engagement session – they wanted me to brainstorm a location I’ve always wanted to shoot but never had the chance to and we’d try something completely new and different. Am I ever glad they did! The result was SO much fun to shoot

Kendra + Jon | Engagement Session

Vancouver was it’s usual unpredictable self the day Kendra, Jon and I were set to get together for their engagement session – rain one minute, partly cloudy the next. It didn’t seem to bother either of them though… as you can see their love brought more than enough warmth and light to the day!

Jasmine + Jason | Wedding

You may remember Jasmine and Jason from their recent spring time engagement session. I’ll never forget that day – an epic downpour tried to ruin our day, but Jason and Jasmine were so easy going and in love it didn’t matter what mother nature threw at us. I knew then that their wedding day was going to be one filled with love and laughter and I wasn’t disappointed!

We started out the day with Jasmine at their beautiful new home in Vancouver.

Magalie + Travis | Puerto Vallarta Day After Session

We were supposed to head out the day after Magalie and Travis’ wedding to do a day after session in the streets of Puerto Vallarta – unfortunately, the weather had a different idea for us as it was unbearably hot and none of us could bear the idea of doing anything other than lounging in the shade. We all decided it would be best if we got up early in the morning on our last day in Mexico to shoot the session and I’m so glad we did – the temperature was just lovely and it felt like we had the streets all to ourselves.

After spending some time in PV we then headed down to a local beach for a few more shots…

Sigh… what a wonderful way to spend a morning!

Magalie + Travis | Puerto Vallarta Wedding

You may remember Magalie and Travis from their civil ceremony a couple of months ago, which they held to make things a little simpler for their destination wedding in Mexico. The wonderful thing about sharing not one, but two wedding days with a couple is you really get to see their love for each other on a much deeper level. Their sheer emotion for each other brought me to tears on more than one occasion.

After the first look we took a little stroll around the grounds to get some portraits done before the ceremony

We had to smuggle Magalie down to her waiting room before the ceremony – the parasol was the perfect decoy AND it looked super cute
